Back from vacation. I know it's a cliche but I needed to come home to relax from the vacation.
List of things that happened that maybe should have stayed in Las Vegas:
1) Binoculars in case left at car rental check out caused an incident - never forget something that someone might consider a "bomb."
2) Awesome seats to a great show about Elvis. Don't tell Henry how much the tickets cost!
3) Being awake for almost 24 hrs straight - UGH
4) walking, walking, walking = sore leg muscles
5) Panhandlers dressing up in costumes. Want your picture taken with Darth Vadar or SpongeBob? Give them some money first.
6) Last casino we went to had...a gun & knife show, a horse cutting event, kids karate/judo contest & hosted a pharmaceutical convention. What a mish-mash of stuff at one location (yes, people were walking around with guns and ammo - what the heck?) They did have 75cent hotdogs though.
7) I got pulled aside at LV airport due to forgotten bottle of water in my bad. I need an aspirin and I'm ready to go home.
It's nice to be home and back to regular schedule...although that means going back to work.

Can you believe - the first snowfall in KC this winter - 1/2 the way through February!
Saw the neatest thing....my office is across the street from Deer Creek GC. There were 6 little deer playing around on the 10th fairway! They all had big ears and no antlers. The were chasing each other around the trees. It really looked like little kids playing in the snow. Ahhh. Oh, and then one of the guys at work pipes up and says "I really need to get my gun." RUN BAMBI RUN!
Here's a photo from a snowfall in KC last February (one of MANY last year.)

Last night I stayed up late enough to see a little bit of Jimmy Fallon's late night show. He does a bit called "Thank you notes" (Leslie knows what I'm talking about) and this was one of his thank you notes -
"Thank you kidney beans for having a better name than spleen beans."
This just cracked me up. So I ask you dear sisters, what little silly thing cracks you up?

Hi Sisters, this is kind of just a test, because I wasn't sure how to post -- not just reply to Gret's posts. I will post more with some thoughts, but just to start out I will just say that I think this could be pretty fun. But, please, I know I don't have to say this to you all but, please let's not be mean or get into arguments here. We had a thing called Wurtzclan that was started a few years ago to help all the many Wurtzes keep in touch. It devolved into people fighting and insulting each other over politics and religion (and wedding ceremonies, for God's sake). People have all -- including myself-- all unsuscribed and what could have been a really neat thing is no more. So let's take the pledge: I VOW TO BE SWEET TO MY SISSES. Amen.

My first post
My first post - thanks to my son for my Christmas gift - getting me set up on this. He doesn't really have any patience but he owes me - I gave birth to him and I'm taking him out to dinner today.
I hope my sister will use this blog as a way to stay in touch with each other, share pictures, photos, recipes and other fun stuff.
