Is this an experiment?

Have you ever felt like you were unknowingly a part of a crazy experiment to see how far you can get pushed before you break?  This is my life the past week.

The washer went kaput last Monday on load number 1.  I had to hand wring the load and dry forever.  Went to Sears on Tuesday and ordered a new washer.  The earliest it could be delivered was this past Monday.  Yikes!  I really needed to wash clothes.  Husband was so kind to run to the laundromat on his day off and do 2 loads.  We then went out of town for the weekend.

Was so excited to get the new washer on Monday.  It was delivered and installed right in time for me to go to work...so I didn't get to really mess with it until that evening.  Less than 5 minutes into the first wash load there was a loud bang and everything stopped.  This is a washer with a lid that locks...so I had a washer full of wet clothes and no way to get them out.

I spent a couple of hours on the phone with Sears.  Started off that the earliest a repairman could get here was next week.  After 2 hours in the phone....which ended with me getting disconnected, my son took to social media and I sent email to EVP of Sears customer service.  Hub also called the next day and was told we would get a new washer.  But then we got calls saying a repairman still had to come out to unlock the lid!  I spent almost an hour on the online yesterday to get that worked out logistically.  LONG story short, repairman came out last night and unlocked the lid to get wet laundry out (they are dry but really have to be washed again) and now delivery guys are here taking the lemon away and delivering a new unit.   Please oh please let this one work.  We'll find out soon!
